Ghana Youth Movement for Mental Health Inc.

OUR STORY
The Ghana Youth Movement for Mental Health (GYMMH) is a youth-focused nonprofit committed to closing the mental health knowledge gap in Ghana. We empower young people with the understanding, confidence, and skills they need to support themselves, uplift their peers, and lead positive change in their communities.
Our goal is to nurture a new generation of informed, compassionate youth leaders who can respond to mental health needs with empathy, creativity, and community-driven solutions.
WHAT WE DO
We train and mentor Peer Mental Health Advocates, equipping them with practical tools in mental health literacy, psychological first aid, and advocacy. These advocates go on to lead their own projects in schools, churches, workplaces, and communities—delivering talks, creating awareness campaigns, and developing initiatives tailored to local needs.
GYMMH also engages wider audiences through school outreach, youth-focused programs, and social media education. Through these efforts, we make mental health knowledge accessible, relatable, and youth-led
Empowering Ghanaian youth to raise mental health awareness, break stigma, and create meaningful change in their communities.
